NU Advisory Partners (“NU”, “we”, or “us”) is an executive search and leadership advisory firm.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect information to connect candidates to our clients and also how we collect, use, share, and otherwise process information when you visit our websites, including www.nuadvisorypartners.com, apply for a job with us, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, our “Services”).

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the date at the top of this policy. Review this Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about our information practices.

The information we collect about you depends on how you interact with us or use our Services. In this section, we describe the categories of information we collect, the sources of this information. and the methods of collection.

Information You Provide to Us

For example, if you are a candidate, we may ask you for information about your experience and interests to share with organizations that may be interested in your services. The information we collect may include your first and last name, job title, company name, email address, phone number, social media or professional networking user names, compensation requests, work history, and any other information you choose to provide. If you are an organization, we may collect information about you and your company.

When collecting information from you, we may use a variety of methods and technologies. We may manually take notes of the conversations. We may have an additional person join the call to take notes. We may use artificial intelligence or other technologies to take notes, assist us in taking notes, or transcribe meetings. We may request you send us information by email, filling out forms, or otherwise.

Information We Collect From Public Sources and Third Parties

We may collect information about you from publicly available sources (such as LinkedIn or your company’s website) or from other sources (such as people who recommend you to us). The information we collect may include your first and last name, job title, company name, email address, phone number, social media or professional network information, and work history.

Information We Collect Automatically

We automatically collect certain information about your interactions with us or our Services from your device, including:

  • Device and Usage Information: We may collect information about how you access our Services, including data about the device and network you use, such as your hardware model, operating system version, mobile network, IP address, unique device identifiers, browser type, and app version. We may also collect information about your activity on our Services, such as access times, pages viewed, links clicked, and the page you visited before navigating to our Services.
  • Geolocation Information: We may collect information about the approximate location of your device, derived from your IP address.

We use the information we collect from candidates to evaluate their qualifications for potential job opportunities. For candidates who use our Services, we may use their personal information to communicate with them about the search and hiring process. We also may aggregate, analyze, or anonymize data to use for various purposes associated with the Services. We may use this information to comply with applicable legal requirements or to exercise or defend legal claims. We also use the information we collect to:

  • Personalize your experience with us;
  • Send you technical notices, security alerts, support messages, and other transactional or relationship messages; 
  • Communicate with you about services and events offered by NU and provide news and information that we think will interest you (see the Your Privacy Rights and Choices section below for information about how to opt out of these communications at any time);
  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services;
  • Detect, investigate, and help prevent security incidents and other malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity and help protect the rights and property of NU and others; and
  • Comply with our legal and financial obligations.

We engage others to analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, and better understand your activity. To do so, these entities may use cookies and other technologies to collect information about your use of our Services and other websites, including your IP address, web browser and mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages or in mobile apps, links clicked, and conversion information. 

DISCLOSURES OF INFORMATION

In certain circumstances, we disclose (or permit others to directly collect) information about you. We disclose personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and in the following ways:

  • Potential Employers. If you are a candidate, we share the information we collect about you with our clients and other potential employers.
  • Vendors and Service Providers. We make personal information available to our vendors, service providers, contractors, and consultants who perform services on our behalf, such as companies that assist us with web hosting, financing, fraud prevention, customer service, data enrichment, analytics, marketing, and advertising.
  • Law Enforcement Authorities and Individuals Involved in Legal Proceedings. We disclose personal information in response to a request for information if we believe that disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation or legal process, including lawful requests by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
  • To Protect the Rights of NU and Others. We disclose personal information if we believe that your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, if we believe that you have violated the law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of NU, our users, the public, or others.
  • Professional Advisors. We disclose personal information to our legal, financial, insurance, and other professional advisors where necessary to obtain advice or otherwise protect and manage our business interests.
  • Corporate Transactions. We disclose personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of certain corporate transactions, including the merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company. 
  • Consent. We make personal information available to third parties when we have your consent or you intentionally direct us to do so. 
  • Aggregated Data: We may disclose aggregated or de-identified personal information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We will not attempt to re-identify such information, except as permitted by law.

DATA RETENTION

We store your personal information for as long as necessary to carry out the purposes for which we originally collected it and for other business purposes explained in this Privacy Policy.

YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Opting Out of Marketing Communications

You may opt out of receiving promotional emails from NU by following the instructions in those communications. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as those about our ongoing business relations.

Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside, the laws applicable to us, and subject to limitations set forth in those laws, you may have the following privacy rights related to the personal information that we collect:

  • Right to Know: You may request that we disclose what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, sold, or shared about you, and how it is used and disclosed.
  • Right to Delete: You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you (with some exceptions) and request that our service providers do the same.
  • Right to Correct: You can request we correct the inaccurate personal information that we have about you.
  • Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for the exercise of your privacy rights under applicable law.
